The Maldives Concierge (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent Maldives travel advisory and resort directory platform operated from Northumberland, England, United Kingdom. Our website at themaldivesconcierge.com and themaldivesconcierge.co.uk provides:

• An AI-powered resort matching and recommendation tool
• An independent editorial directory of Maldives resorts
• Downloadable travel guides and planning resources
• Editorial articles, insider knowledge, and travel advice
• A curated Premium Collection of resort partners

We are not a travel agent, tour operator, booking platform, or affiliated with any resort, airline, or travel company. We do not take bookings, handle payments to resorts, or act as an intermediary in any travel transaction between you and a resort.

2. Acceptance of Terms

• Attempts to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the logic of our AI resort matching tool or resort database
• Clicks on advertisements on the site artificially or encourages others to do so

4. The AI Resort Finder Tool

Our AI-powered resort matching tool is provided as an informational aid to help you explore Maldives resort options. By using the resort finder, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Recommendations are generated by an AI model (Anthropic Claude) based on your questionnaire responses and a curated resort database. They are informational suggestions, not professional travel advice.
• Resort information in our database is compiled from publicly available sources and our own research. While we aim for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information (pricing, facilities, availability) is current or complete at the time of your search.
• Resort prices, features, and availability change frequently. Always verify current details directly with the resort or your travel agent before making any booking decision.
• The AI tool is provided on an “as is” basis and may occasionally produce imperfect or unexpected outputs. We are not liable for any decisions made based on AI-generated recommendations.
• Your questionnaire responses are processed by Anthropic’s API to generate recommendations. We do not store your responses after your session ends.

5. Editorial Content & Independence

The editorial content on The Maldives Concierge — including articles, resort reviews, guides, and recommendations — is written from genuine personal experience accumulated over 30+ years of visiting the Maldives. We are proud to operate as an independent, unsponsored editorial platform.

Commercial Relationships

Certain resorts pay a monthly fee to appear in our Premium Collection and to receive Featured or Premium placement on the site. These commercial relationships are clearly disclosed through labels including “Featured,” “Premium,” and “✦ Handpicked Resorts ✦.” Commercial placement does not influence our independent editorial articles or the AI resort matching algorithm for general use.

This website may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are clearly labelled as “Advertisement.” We have no control over the specific ads displayed and receive no preferential payment for specific advertiser promotions.

We may include affiliate links to third-party services including travel insurance, airlines, airport services, and travel accessories. Where we earn a commission from these links, this does not affect our editorial assessment of those services.

6. Digital Products — Holiday Guide Downloads

We sell downloadable PDF holiday guides through our website via WooCommerce and Stripe. The following terms apply to all digital product purchases:

Delivery

Digital products are delivered electronically to the email address provided at checkout, typically within minutes of successful payment. If you do not receive your download within 24 hours, please contact us at hello@themaldivesconcierge.com.

Refund Policy

Due to the immediate digital delivery nature of our products, we are unable to offer refunds once a download link has been accessed. If you experience a technical issue preventing you from accessing your purchased guide, please contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will resolve the issue. In the rare event that a product is significantly not as described, we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in accordance with UK consumer rights legislation.

Licence

Upon purchase, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the downloaded guide for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, share, or publish any part of our guides without our written permission. The guides and all content within them remain the intellectual property of The Maldives Concierge.

Pricing

Prices are displayed in GBP, USD, EUR, and AUD depending on your location. All prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price displayed at the time of your purchase is the price you will be charged.

7. Resort Listings & Commercial Partners

Resorts that appear in our Premium Collection or Featured placements have entered into a commercial listing agreement with The Maldives Concierge. The following applies to these arrangements:

• Resort listing fees are charged on a monthly subscription basis
• Featured and Premium placement is commercial advertising and is clearly labelled as such
• We do not guarantee any specific number of enquiries, bookings, or commercial outcomes for listed resorts
• Resort information provided to us for listing purposes is the responsibility of the resort to keep accurate and up to date
• We reserve the right to refuse or remove any resort listing that, in our view, does not meet the standards expected by our audience or is inconsistent with our editorial values

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, articles, photography, resort database information, the AI tool interface, design, branding, logos, and downloadable guides — is the intellectual property of The Maldives Concierge or is used with permission, and is protected by applicable copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws.

The photography published on this site is largely from the personal travel library of The Maldives Concierge’s founder, representing over 30 years of visits to the Maldives. Unauthorised use of any photography is strictly prohibited.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, modify, transmit, or distribute any part of this website’s content without our prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use such as saving an article for your own reading.

9. Third-Party Links & Resort Websites

Our website contains links to third-party websites, including individual resort websites, booking platforms, travel service providers, and airline websites. These links are provided for your convenience and information only.

We have no control over the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of third-party websites. The inclusion of a link does not constitute our endorsement of that site or its operators. When you click “Visit Resort Website” or similar buttons on our site, you will be directed to the resort’s own website. Any booking, enquiry, or transaction you make directly with a resort is solely between you and that resort. The Maldives Concierge is not a party to any such transaction.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

This website and all its content, tools, and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:

• The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of resort information, pricing, or availability data
• The suitability of any resort recommended by our AI tool for your specific needs
• The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the website or AI resort finder
• The fitness of our content or guides for any particular purpose

Resort pricing, facilities, board basis options, transfer arrangements, and all other factual information are subject to change by resorts without notice to us. Always confirm details directly with your chosen resort or a licensed travel agent before committing to a booking.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Maldives Concierge shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of this website, the AI resort finder, reliance on any content or recommendations, or any transactions with third-party resorts or service providers.

In particular, we accept no liability for:

• Losses arising from booking a resort based on information or recommendations on this site
• Changes to resort facilities, pricing, or availability occurring after publication
• Technical failures of the AI resort finder tool
• Any loss of data or interruption of service
• Actions or omissions of third-party resorts, airlines, or travel service providers

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable UK law.

12. Indemnification
